For about a decade, after graduating MA in Human Development and Psychology in Harvard University in 2009, she worked in the field of early childhood education and became passionate about early literacy, picturebooks and picturebook art. After the birth of her son, she returned to her childhood dream and became a… children’s book Illustrator! Ana uses traditional mixed media techniques in her illustrations to create memorable characters and dramatic compositions. She is interested in representation of child empowerment and loves to play with intertextuality and humour in her illustrations. With her picturebooks, Ana tries to make children grin and exclaim in surprise, and leave adults giggling. In 2020 she was awarded with Chevening Scholarship to study MA in Children’s Illustration in Goldsmiths, University of London.
